As children of God, we are meant to be FREE in our worship of God!
Reality is, though, many of us live in a prison that God never intended. Worse yet, we live in a prison we have created for ourselves.
We allow tradition… intimidation… insecurity to turn our worship into something God doesn’t want. Our worship is influenced by those around us more than by the One who we are worshiping.
But in Scripture, we see the freedom meant for worship…
- “Come let us worship and bow down”
—Psalm 95:6 - “I keep my eyes always on the Lord… therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices”
—Psalm 16:8–9 - “Let them praise His name with dancing; let them sing praises to Him…”
—Psalm 149:3 - “Clap your hands, all you nations, sing to God with cries of joy…”
—Psalm 47:1 - “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord.”
—Psalm 134:2
Thursday, March 14, at 7pm is our next Worship Night… and from start to finish, it’s about being FREE. And when we come to worship, it is for an audience of One… the One who redeemed us and set us free!
