Since coming to know Christ as his personal Savior at age 26, Pastor Harrell has been passionate about sharing the Gospel and seeing others come to know Jesus and grow in their walk with Him.

Pastor Harrell has been the Senior Pastor at Northwest since God brought him to Hilliard, Ohio, on Easter Sunday, 1991. He has watched as God took a handful of people from a small auditorium on the corner of Main and Norwich and brought them to their current location on 22 beautiful acres.

Those who know him can tell you his top three priorities are his God, his family, and his church, and on that, he doesn’t waver. On a personal note, if you keep going down the list, you’ll find the Michigan Wolverines because you can take him away from his home football team, but you’ll never take the home football team away from him.

Pastor has been married to Debbie since 1974, and together they have two girls, Brooke and Tara, two sons-in-law, Jamie and Bob, and five grandsons, Boston, Tague, Bracken, Ridge, and Jude. Pastor and Debbie count it a great joy to watch these five boys in their day-to-day lives be raised with the same priorities…first God, then family and their church…and, yes, even cheering on the Michigan Wolverines.
