Emerald Crossing: An Irish Adventure Through Psalm 23

Journey with us to the breathtaking Emerald Isle, where rolling green pastures and ancient castles set the scene for an unforgettable adventure. Through the lens of Irish culture and the timeless words of Psalm 23, children will discover how the Great Shepherd cares for His sheep.

Each day we’ll uncover important truths from Psalm 23 such as:

• Like David, I can be a child of God and have the Lord as MY shepherd.
• Like David, I need the Lord to lead me on the right path through his Word.
• Like David, I can turn to the Lord for comfort when dealing with anxiety and fear.
• Like David, I can have an attitude of gratitude no matter what.
• Like David, I need to be on the lookout for God’s goodness and mercy, my traveling companions through life.

Beauty and adventure await us each day at Emerald Crossing, where lads and lasses will gather at the Emerald Isle Assembly, a high-energy beginning that includes wacky intros, lively songs, a mission moment, and prayer.

Then they’re off to rotate through four fun sites:

1. ‍Flock Talk Time, where God’s Word is taught in creative, hands-on ways.‍
2. Celtic Corner Science and Crafts, where kids get their hands dirty as they make crafts and explore God’s world through science experiments.‍
3. Stillwater Snacks, where kids enjoy some scrumptious Irish fare.‍
4. Green Meadow Games, the rambunctious rec time where kids engage in some lively competitions.

Finally, everyone heads back to the Emerald Isle Assembly for the closing, where there’s more singing, contest results, and the highly anticipated daily drama where lads and lasses will be introduced to an Irish sheep farmer named Grandpa Fitz who runs Stillwater Farms. Through lots of fun and a few big surprises, Fitz shows how the Lord has been his comfort and guide his whole life.
