Tornado Relief Supplies
Update December 22, 2021: Thank you for the outpouring of support for the Kentucky tornado victims! Sunday is the final day we’re accepting items. The gift cards will be delivered by hand next week. Our local missions volunteers will sort the supplies and send those near the end of January when the Mayfield church has space.
On Sunday [December 12, 2021], Pastor Harrell mentioned that a member of our Northwest family, Karisha Gillenwater, has an uncle who pastors a church in Kentucky.
Pastor Steve Melvin pastors at Mayfield First Church of the Nazarene. Their church is relying on a generator for electricity to house families from their who lost their homes, possessions, and cars from the tornado. Their town does not even have easy access to stores.
These families have lost everything they owned… they need the most practical of items… and that’s where we come in.
By Sunday, December 26, we want to collect as many items as possible, fill up a trailer and take it down to them. We’re asking you, our church family, to buy items from the list below and then bring them back to the church. Bring them on Sunday when you come to church, drop them off at the office during the week, or bring them with you to the Christmas Eve services.
In this season of giving, let’s come together to bless the Mayfield church’s family in a huge way.
Below are the items needed most—don’t worry about sizes or types. Providing these items is a practical way we get to be the hands and feet of Jesus by loving this church when they are genuinely in need.
