Online Giving FAQs

Giving online is a personal preference, but here are a few potential benefits for you…

  • It’s a step of faith…deciding in advance to give faithfully.
  • It helps simplify life…no more trying to remember whether or not you’ve given this pay period.
  • It allows you to give consistently…even when you’re not at church. It allows you to focus on the service when you’re at church…rather than fiddling with your checkbook.

Visit our giving page, pushpay.com/pay/nwbible. The online giving experience is simple, fast and secure. After you give, you will receive an invitation via text to download the Pushpay app, so you can give in 10 seconds next time.

If you need help, check out our step-by-step instructions where we walk you through the process.

We’ve outsourced the online giving process to the professionals at Pushpay. The following statement is from Pushpay’s explanation of security:

The security of your personal information and data is incredibly important to Pushpay. With that in mind, Pushpay has intentionally designed the platform with your security in mind.

Here are just a few explanations how:

  • The unique payment links that you are making your payments through are held on our secure servers, which are monitored by our standards of security.
  • Payment details are not held on your devices.
  • Payment Method details are tokenized and are stored on industrial grade servers where this information is then encrypted. For this reason, Pushpay is considered significantly more secure than many current offerings including actually having a credit card physically present.
  • If your phone is lost, no transactions can be made without your unique Passcode or finger print as opposed to current credit card theft.

“Pushpay has been built from the ground up with security at its core. We work with the best people in the industry to ensure our systems are secured with enterprise grade protection.”
—Chris Heaslip, Pushpay CEO

We’re excited to offer the option of giving from your bank account or debit card. You can maximize your recurring gift by choosing Give from a bank account.

It is Northwest Bible Church’s policy to not accept credit cards for tithes and offerings. Though many contributors are able to pay off their credit card balances monthly, we believe allowing the option to give via credit card could cause those who are financially vulnerable to fall further into debt. Our desire is to see people live in freedom and not be enslaved by any oppressive debt to credit card companies.

Gifts of cash or check may be given on Sunday mornings when the ushers pass the plate, or can be dropped off at the Northwest Bible Church office during normal business hours (Monday – Friday from 8:30am–5pm). Please place your contribution in the offering envelope along with name and address so that a tax-deductible receipt can be made available to you.

Not to you. You will not pay any fees with an online gift.

Try setting your payment method to give from a bank account. This method has smaller processing fees than debit cards, thus maximizing your gift to Northwest Bible Church.

Contributions will be transferred from your specified bank account within 48 business hours of the date you requested. This timeframe allows for the contribution to process through your bank and the church’s bank. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.

Immediately after submitting your contribution, you will receive an email verifying your contribution.

You’ve already given…thank you! There’s no need to feel awkward letting the plate pass you by. Many others have already given online too, so you’re in good company. You can participate in the offering during the service by reflecting on the message of the song or media that is being presented.

With online giving, gifts are immediately recorded in your giving record and deposited into the church’s bank account electronically as opposed to bill pay where it may take the bank several days to process the payment and mail a check to the church.

Give Pushpay a try. We think you’ll find that it is easy kind of fun.
