Homecoming Summer 2017

We have a special announcement as well as prayer and support request! We are returning this summer for a one month furlough! The Hamers will be stateside from June 20 – July 19! We are looking forward to this time. We will visit with family, take a much needed vacation, and also meet with supporters and churches. We look forward to meeting as many of you as possible and to share with all of you what God has been doing. We are really excited to be coming back and also to spend some quality time with my dad after all the trials and difficulties of the last year and a half. We are excited the kids will get a chance to hang out with him and Grandma, share some meals together, and enjoy life.

Tartu International Fellowship

The church is doing well. We have continued to meet weekly as a large body and have 5 different small groups that meet throughout the week. One great part of the church has been the prayer times each Sunday. A few hours before the service a group of us gather for an hour of prayer. This time goes by so fast, and God has been answering so many of our prayers. The picture above is of our church serving pancakes to international students. We had a chance to meet well over 100 students from all over the world. One particular student was Ahmed, from Egypt. He is a Muslim, but is searching for truth. We talked that night and have met once more to answer questions about Christianity and also to learn about his faith. He is now reading the Gospel of Mark, so pray for him!

M4 Update

In March we finished a round of M4 church planting training in Estonia and sent out 3 church plants. Each of these are in different phases and one is a replant of a long established church that had fallen on tougher times. We welcomed 4 new teams that are starting the process and are excited to see what happens over the next two years. The picture on the left is of one church planting teams in Tallinn that is starting M4. The picture on the right is from Lyon, France. I traveled to Lyon to meet with a group of pastors from International Churches. It was a great blessing to learn from them and spend lots of time in prayer. The left picture is from a Roman amphitheater that was right outside of our retreat center. Finally, this spring over 100 teams are in M4 trainings throughout Europe and we are expanding into Russia and Ukraine in 2018. I am helping a lot with getting these nations started. Pray for open doors in these nations, as well as solutions to some complicated situations that have arisen.

Prayer Requests

Our main request is for the trip coming up this summer. Pray for safety and also a fruitful and relaxing time.
