Operation Backpack

We’re joining forces with Operation Backpack and NBC4’s Stuff the Backpack campaign to help families in need. Hilliard City Schools are part of the scope of Operation Backpack beginning this year!

A filled backpack helps kids start the school year feeling prepared and confident, reminding them how important school is. Most importantly, the backpack is filled with hope, giving every child the opportunity to reach their full potential.

The backpacks that you fill will be put in the children’s hands before they go to school, so on day one, they look and feel like their classmates! A filled backpack allows these children to start the school year feeling prepared and confident, with the knowledge that their education is important and that someone believes in them.

Ready to fill a backpack?

  • Grab a new backpack in the foyer when you’re at church and fill it exactly with new school supplies that are on the list inside the backpack.
  • Return your filled backpack to the church at the End of Summer Bash on August 18, 2019 (or any time before).

If you have kids, this is a fun example of serving others that they can help with! Take your kids shopping for the school supplies and pray with them for the child that will receive this new backpack.
