A “New” Approach this Christmas

Christmas is filled with traditions and the timeless, eternal significance of Christ’s birth. So, how did Northwest Bible Church approach it in a “new” way this year?

This Christmas season, we asked our church family to give new coats, gloves, hats, blankets, and food for people in need right here in Hilliard. And, the generosity blew us away.

Before Thanksgiving, we delivered more than 190 coats to students at Brown Elementary, Horizon Elementary and Hilliard Station!

Many children were blessed with warmth and with an added bonus you may not expect—new tags on their coat. One kid excitedly told his teacher that he didn’t want to take off his coat because he had never had tags on his clothes before.

In addition to coats, more than 30 blankets were collected for elderly individuals, shoe boxes were filled with gifts by our NW Kids for Operation Christmas Child, and countless bags of food were donated to local shelters.

Christmas represents the birth of Jesus, God’s perfect gift to save us. We were blessed to remember this anew by gifting something new to our community this season.

Thank you Northwest Bible. Because no kid should be cold.”
